Open calls are now being held for The Outsiders: A New Musical, currently seeking performers for future Broadway and National Tour replacement opportunities.


Based on S.E. Hinton’s novel and Francis Ford Coppola’s film, the production features direction by Danya Taymor and choreography by Rick Kuperman & Jeff Kuperman.

Los Angeles Open Call for Dancers


Date: Monday, June 1, 2026

Location: 3rd Street Dance8558 W 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA


Roles Seeking

• Cherry Valance

• Two-Bit Matthews

• Greaser Ensemble

• Soc Ensemble

Casting is seeking strong triple threats and athletic dancers capable of fight choreography and Americana/Rock movement styles.

What to Prepare

• Be warmed up and ready to dance in sneakers or flat shoes

• Bring knee pads if possible

• Bring headshot and resume stapled back-to-back

• Be prepared to stay for up to one hour for your dance group


Initial callbacks will be completed via self-tape.

Casting is seeking powerful singer-actors with strong storytelling ability and authentic country, folk, soul, or rock vocal styles.


What to Prepare


• 16 bars or 30 seconds of a country, soul, rock, or folk song

• No traditional musical theatre songs (songs from the show allowed)

• Bring sheet music in a binder

• Bring headshot and resume stapled back-to-back

• Accompanist will be provided

Initial callbacks will be completed via self-tape.

• Performers must be 18+ by first rehearsal to be considered for hire

• Performers under 18 may attend but cannot be considered until turning 18

• Unofficial sign-up lists will not be accepted
