On May 10, 2026, creatives from across Los Angeles came together in the Arts District for an evening centered around connection, collaboration, and community.
The LA Creatives Networking Mixer, produced by Studio For Performing Arts LA in collaboration with Anthony Mongiello Photography, welcomed actors, filmmakers, writers, photographers, musicians, and industry professionals for a night of meaningful conversations and creative exchange.
Hosted at a professional photography studio at 810 E 3rd St #404 in Downtown Los Angeles, the event created a relaxed and inspiring environment where artists could connect outside the structure of traditional industry events. Rather than formal panels or audition settings, attendees had the opportunity to build genuine relationships, discuss upcoming projects, and share creative goals in an open and supportive atmosphere.
The evening also featured live performances by the LA Monologue & Song Slam, highlighting emerging talent through a series of monologues and musical performances that brought energy and creativity into the space. Guests enjoyed a mix of networking, live entertainment, and artistic collaboration throughout the event.
This year’s judging panel featured Casting Director and Filmmaker M’saada Nia, known for projects connected to A Wrinkle in Time, Selma, and Grown-ish, alongside entertainment manager and producer Marilyn Atlas, whose work spans film, television, and theatre representation.
All official Slam participants received scholarships toward future acting classes and professional development programs through Studio For Performing Arts LA, while mixer attendees also won gift certificates and raffle prizes throughout the event.
